(For the romanisation of Chinese and Japanese, see Transliteration. To understand the writing systems of CJV, see Writing Systems. For word order notes, see Word Order)
Where a Vietnamese word has been borrowed from Chinese, the original Chinese character is shown in parentheses.

吐

Tell-the-truth potion |
| Japanese | Shinjitsu-yaku (Beritaseramu) |
真実
shinjitsu = 'truth'. 薬 yaku = 'medicine'. ベリタセラム Beritaseramu = Veritaserum |
Truth medicine (Veritaserum) |
| Vietnamese | Chân dược | chân

Truth medicine |
'Veritaserum' is a Latin-based expression meaning 'truth serum'. The translations are relatively clear.
For the pedantic, the Japanese transliteration of 'Veritaserum' leaves something to be desired. If it is meant to show the English pronunciation, ベリタシーラム Beritashiiramu would be more correct. If it is meant to approximate the Latin reading, ベリタセルム Beritaserumu would seem more appropriate.
