How is 'ministry' translated?
The word for a ministry or government department is 部 bù in Chinese and bộ in Vietnamese. Japanese uses 省 shō, which in Chinese normally means 'province'. (部 bu in Japanese is of lower rank, corresponding to a division of a government ministry.)
